This subject is a very popular subject at both AS and A level, with girls regularly going on to take psychology at university.

The course follows the AQA specification. In the Lower Sixth (Y12), we study a range of the most famous and classic psychological topics. These include:

Social Influence

Childhood Attachment

Memory

Biopsychology

Mental Illness

In the Upper Sixth (Y13), we begin to apply psychological skills to more real life situations looking at Forensic Psychology, Schizophrenia and Gender Identity.

All of these are underpinned with fundamental skills in research methods and statistics.
