World Water Day – 22nd March
The March lockdown meant the original date of World Water Day had to be cancelled but our UNESCO team representatives were keen to mark the day so 23rd June became Westfield World Water Day instead. Each class has been growing cress in a little cup with varying amounts of water and it has been very interesting to see the difference in ‘growth’ rate you get with 1m of water compared to 20ml. Everyone was asked to wear something blue and the girls took part in a water race at lunchtime. The race involved girls and staff having to negotiate an obstacle course whilst carrying cups of water and trying not to spill any. The winners was the team who managed to spill the least!
