Our congratulations go to all our Upper 6th leavers who have worked so diligently and consistently throughout their studies and are now heading on to their next exciting destinations. Today, we celebrate a fantastic set of results with an overall 98% pass rate and 90% securing their first choice University destination.
This year group went through the shock of having their GCSEs cancelled but have enjoyed being back to proper exams and have a lot to celebrate.
‘I am extremely proud of the girls’ resilience and the true Westfield spirit they have shown throughout their time here, some of them have been with us since nursery. We wish them all the best for the future and look forward to hearing about their next steps beyond school.’
Mr Walker, Headmaster.
‘I have loved supporting this exceptional group of Sixth Formers who have worked extremely hard and achieved great things despite the challenges of the pandemic. For me, they are not defined by just their exam results but by the way they have embraced every part of Sixth Form life at Westfield. They have become fantastic role models for the whole school and I am so proud of them; they leave us with a positive legacy and I can’t wait to hear from them when they come back to visit.’
Head of Sixth Form, Mrs McGowan

Olivia is from Gateshead and has been at Westfield for just 3 years.
‘I am heading to Durham University to study Law, it’s my top choice University and I’ve always been interested in Law as I am a great problem solver; I’ve loved every second of my time at Westfield, I am actually heartbroken to be leaving, I gained a family here when I joined in 2019 and I feel like coming here has set me up for life. I’ve worked really hard and all my subject teachers have been amazing but special mention goes to Mrs McGowan (Head of Sixth Form) who not only helped me with my UCAS application, she has supported me in so many areas of my life and shaped the way I want to be’

It’s going to be really weird for me as Westfield has been my home since nursery, 16 years I have been here and I actually can’t quite believe it; Dr Leng and Mrs McGowan have been really inspirational and I am also really excited as Mrs McGowan went to UEA and I feel like I am heading in the best pathway I could possibly ask for’
