Our Early Years children would like to share with you some of the wonderful activities they have enjoyed while exploring the changing seasons from winter to early spring.

Our nursery aged children made collages to reflect winter landscapes and used mixed media to create superb interpretations of winter skies and the Northern Lights.

As we moved into spring, we went out into our school grounds to look for signs of new growth.  We planted strawberry plants and beans and we mixed the different shades of green we noticed in our garden.

We found out about Spring Festivals and created flowers for Mothering Sunday.  One of our favourite activities was making chocolate Easter nest cakes!

We loved the story of ‘Oliver’s Fruit Salad’ and thoroughly enjoyed tasting a wide range of fruit to make a lovely colourful and healthy fruit salad at snack time!
